The Syrian President's Social Media Game Is Topnotch

Gotta respect this cat and mouse social media game. Assad pretending it’s business as usual, updating his Gram with some “Man about town” photos. What do you mean I’m killing kids and using chemical weapons and about to go to war? I’m just hanging with the wifey and some smart kids at the National Baccalaureate. Nothing funny going on over here. I used to do the same shit when I had a girlfriend. When I didn’t want to be bothered by her I’d tweet or update my Facebook status, knowing she’d see it, with stuff like “Heading to the library, phone’s off, lot of work to do.” It’s called covering your electronic tracks. Because it it’s on social media then it’s irrefutably true. I never went out without my girlfriend’s knowledge and Assad certainly isn’t committing gross atrocities and about to enter into a war. He’s just a good dude chilling with the youth of Syria. Nothing to see here, world. Carry on.
