Patrice Bergeron Is BACK

It's no secret that the Boston Bruins haven't been playing their best hockey as of late. Their 13 game point streak was snapped at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night as the offense has gone silent. No 3rd period come back this time. But Patrice Bergeron will return to the lineup after a 7 game absence tonight, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Boston's top scorers David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand have gone goal-less in 3 and 5 games respectively. With Bergeron out the last 7 games they've been on a revolving door of different linemates and centermen. Bergeron's return gives the B's their depth down in the middle with with 37-46 and 13. Bjork and Coyle will look to re-ignite their chemistry and Danton Heinen gets the call to play alongside 74 and 46.

Their once dominant power play has slid to 4th in the NHL as of late and has gone 0-9 in their last 3 GP. Patrice will make his return to the bumper tonight on PP1. Heinen remains in DeBrusk's place in front of the net.

Here are the lines for tonight per morning skate:

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak

DeBrusk - Krejci - Heinen

Bjork - Coyle - Ritchie

Nordstrom - Kuraly - Wagner

Chara - McAvoy (is due and I feel like he'll score tonight)

Krug - Carlo

Moore - Grzelcyk

(Steven Kampfer was placed on waivers for purpose for assignment, he has cleared and will head to Providence)

David Backes, Par Lindholm and Connor Clifton are out. Tuukka Rask in net.

It's time to right the ship, play a full 60 and get back in the win column. A return of one of the NHL's best centers, is a good start.

It's a great night to win a hockey game.

p.s I knew I wasn't going crazy - Dave has confirmed he RSVP'd to my wedding with someone else's invitation.
