Cinderblock Is The Thiccest Pussy You'll See In This Lifetime

Quaint, homey Northshore Animal Hospital is nestled between Vancouver & Seattle and it’s right down the street from Lake Whatcom. However, it’s not the lake that’s ah-ripplin’ these days.. It’s the aquatic treadmill inside the building, and it’s an absolute mew-nit making waves both there & across the internet. Ladies & gents,,,

Sheesh! More like DREAD-mill, amiright?! ha ha

With nearly 500K ‘likes’, well over 100K retweets, and at least 11.2M + views on Twitter alone, it would seem that this husky ‘lil lady named Cinderblock has struck a chord around the globe with her single-pawed attempt at ‘trying’. People can’t seem to get enough.

From the Bellingham Herald:

Northshore Veterinary Hospital is attempting to help an 8-year-old, portly Bellingham cat work back into shape one step at a time, and her fitness journey has captured the heart of social media and drawn national news attention, with CNN and the Huffington Post documenting her story.

And as for why they’re taking that fitness journey in water, which cats are notorious for hating:

“Cinder has arthritis in multiple joints and is carrying an extra 10 (pounds) of body weight. The water provides a reduced weight-bearing environment that increases functional use of limbs without marked weight loading and resultant discomfort to joints.”

Needless to say, the Northshore Animal Hospital’s Facebook & Instagram pages have blown up with all the attention & I was glad to see they’ve taken advantage of that for a good cause. They’ve set up a “Good Samaritan GoFundMe” in her honor with this caption:

Cinder “Block”, an obese, lovable feline, was recently relinquished to us, as her owner could no longer care for her. She has become an inspiration for us to try to help other pets in need in Whatcom County. Northshore Veterinary Hospital has long worked with non-profit partners such as Brigadoon Service Dogs, Whatcom Humane Society, Alternative Humane Society, Old Dog Haven, Project Homeless, and Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Survivors, who we help by providing discounted veterinary services.

Have to say I’ve been loving their posts featuring Cinderblock, like this one where they put intense, inspirational music behind her barely batting at a toy.

Since going viral she’s been getting fan art:

And there’s even a t-shirt for sale on Amazon:

I’m just hoping that she’s able to keep #grinding, especially with he allure of neighborhood establishments & an easy escape route down Electric Avenue.

(Thankfully the vet says she’s already slated for adoption when she’s physically ready, & whoever is lined up to get her is pretty lucky.) Brick by brick, Cinderblock by Cinderblock.
