Tiger Woods Wins The Zozo Championship For His Record-Tying 82nd PGA Tour Win
DONE AND DONE
History for the Boss Man! We’re obviously gonna talk about this a whole lot on the next Fore Play episode but Tiger Woods just got his 82nd PGA Tour, tying Sam Snead’s all time record. The next one (and trust me, if you watched Tiger at all during this tournament, there is going to be a next one) will give him the record all by himself.
Seriously what a performance from the Boss Man in Japan. He bogeyed the first three holes of the tournament and it looked like it was gonna be a disaster and then he caught fire the rest of the way and burned up everyone in his path. I hesitate to say he dominated but he did, he dominated. So much so that Tiger fans like myself woke up this morning feeling like this victory was guaranteed and it was. Not once over those last 7 holes tonight did anyone think local hero Hideki Matsuyama was gonna make a charge and overtake our man. Tiger just made birdie after birdie after birdie until the victory was his. 82 fucking wins man, that’s so many he wins. Like my friend Frankie Borrelli says, he’s just better than everyone else.
This is an awesome quote from Tiger
There was a time not so long ago where it looked like Tiger might never play the game of golf again. Before the fusion surgery, it looked DIRE. Then he fought allllllll the way back, got fusion, tweaked his swing and finally broke through and won the Tour Championship. Then he won the goddamn Masters (remember?). And now he’s tied Sam Snead’s record at 82 PGA Tour wins. Insane. It’s all stunning and crazy and awesome at the same time. And you know what? Tiger looks like he could play for another 10 years, 10 elite years. We’re (yes we) gonna go out there and get #83 and then #84 and #85 and then we’re gonna take down Jack’s major record and I cannot fucking wait.
The Boss Man is BACK. All they way BACK.
