"Misbehavin'" From The Righteous Gemstones Might Be The Catchiest Song Of The Year

For those of you that don’t watch ‘The Righteous Gemstones’, it’s a sort of comedy/satire of Televangelists on HBO with John Goodman, Danny McBride, Walton Goggins Adam Levine and Edi Patterson. It’s pretty funny so far and an enjoyable watch. Anyway, their last episode was a flashback which climaxed with this scene of Walton Goggins and Jennifer Nettles (lead vocalist of Sugarland) singing this song. I am in no way a hootenanny-type music guy, but god damn it I CANNOT GET THIS SONG OUT OF MY HEAD! For the last week I’ve caught myself mindlessly singing “Runnin round the house with a pickle in my mouth” no less than 200 times. It’s the definition of an earworm and most of twitter agrees.

THE HYPE IS REAL! The song is a total original straight from the brains of Danny McBride and Edi Patterson, which is super impresive. (The creation of it is a cool story too). Naturally, I had to find a way to use my love of this song to relate to my zoomer followers on TikTok as well.
