Vlade Divac Looks Like A Goddamn Snack In His New Hall Of Fame Jacket

We got the news back in April that Vlade Divac was finally going to be elected to the Basketball Hall Of Fame, and yesterday was the day everyone got their jackets with the official induction being today. I have to say, Divac looks even better than I expected in his orange HOF jacket. Part of me wishes he rocked his salt and pepper beard and had a cigarette in his mouth to stay on brand but oh well. To those of you who think Vlade isn’t quite worthy, I’ll remind you he’s one of 7 players in NBA HISTORY with 3,000 points, 9,000 rebounds, 3,000 assists, and 1,500 blocks. You have Kareem, Shaq, Hakeem, Duncan, Garnett, Gasol, and Vlade on that list. Take away all he’s done to pave the way for European basketball players and that alone is enough in my mind to get him into Springfield. Plus he’s cool as hell so that definitely has to be factored in as well.

Part of me thinks maybe the NBA pulled some strings on his behalf after they blatantly stole a championship ring from him (Webber is probably in too if he has that ring imo) back in 2001 and I suppose this is a nice consolation prize. The treasure that is Vlade Divac deserve a spot in basketball immortality. I can’t wait to hear his speech, I hope he brings the heat.
