'Bad Boys 3' Is Here After 16 Years With A New Trailer

From the clouds! Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are back…

Marcus Burnett is now a police inspector and Mike Lowrey is in a midlife crisis. Both of them unite again when an Albanian mercenary, whose brother they defeated, promises them an important bonus in revenge.

So, uh… I kind of loved this trailer?

When this movie was announced (Michael Bay is not back to direct, by the way), I was skeptical. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence taking themselves seriously in the third movie, 17 years after the sequel, sounded awful. But based on this trailer, I am on board. The vibes given off from this trailer feel much like that of ‘Hobbs & Shaw’. There will be serious action, but dialogue and tone that knows exactly what it is as a movie.

It might be 16 years since ‘Bad Boys II’, but Will Smith has barely aged at all…

The movie comes out in early January of next year and that seems like a perfect time. I’ve been critical of Will Smith’s recent roles, but his performance as the Genie in ‘Aladdin’ was a reminder that the more fun Will Smith has, the better the movie ends up being.

This is even a surprise to me, but I am ready for the third ‘Bad Boys’ movie.
