Lonzo Ball Claiming The Lakers Will Regret Trading Him On His New Single Is Some LaVar Ball Level Delusion

So who wants to tell him? Look Lonzo Ball doesn’t stink by any means. He’s a legit defender, an elite passer, he just can’t shoot for shit or really stay healthy. But at 21 years old there’s still room for that to improve. As long as he’s healthy I think he’s going to be very fun to watch playing next to Zion down in New Orleans. A pass first point guard seems like a great idea to have next to Zion on the break. Having said all that, let’s not get stupid here. The Lakers are going regret their decision to trade you? You know, the move that brought them this guy?

Yeah I don’t think so. There’s a reason they were adamant in keeping Kuzma and not Lonzo in order to pull that deal off. Unless Lonzo turns into an All NBA point guard and MVP candidate which I would say is highly unlikely, cashing him in for a potential 10+ year run of prime Anthony Davis seems like the better idea. Something tells me LeBron/Rob Pelinka are not losing a second of sleep for making that decision no matter what ends up happening with Lonzo’s career.

But hey, I’m all for self motivation. If this is what Lonzo needs to tell himself in order to have a breakout year in NO then all the power to him. He just needs to know it’s utterly ridiculous and a level of delusion we usually see from LaVar. If he truly thinks LeBron will spend one second regretting trading the entire Lakers future to land Anthony Davis he clearly hasn’t been paying attention to how LeBron operates. The only way I can see this actually becoming true is if AD shocks the world and leaves LA in free agency next summer, but I wouldn’t bank on it.
