An 89 Year Old Man Who Survived 11 Concentration Camps In The Holocaust Marries An Absolute Rocket 50 Years Younger
NY POST - Holocaust survivor Jack Garfein, 89, said “I do” to his 42-year-old bride, Natalia Repolovsky, last Sunday on the Upper West Side.
“I can’t believe all of this love I’m surrounded by after everything I’ve gone through in my life,” he told The Post while choking back more tears after the ceremony.
Garfein, who was born in then-Czechoslovakia, lost his parents and sisters when they were marched to the Nazi gas chambers. He himself survived 11 concentration camps.
Jack Garfein has been through hell in his life – literal hell, losing his entire family in the Nazi gas chambers, personally going through ELEVEN concentration camps, the horrible trauma and PTSD of the Holocaust – god damn must it feel good to end up with so much happiness. And a ROCKET 50 years his junior!
I remember reading about this couple a few years ago in the Post, so I tracked down the article – you gotta check out how fuckin smooth my man Garfein was:
When Natalia Repolovsky first met the charismatic acting coach at a Manhattan social gathering on April 28, 2012 — shortly after she arrived in the United States from Russia — she was instantly smitten.
“He gave me one of those overly firm handshakes,” Repolovsky recalled. “I thought ‘This guy has some nerve.’ ”
“There was a lot of actors and actresses there who knew each other — a very flirtatious crowd,” Repolovsky recalled. “This woman gave him a big hug and because of the height difference he ended up between her breasts.
“I thought, ‘How dare she?’ ”
He had her jealous 5 minutes after meeting – Garfein you STUD.
What was Garfein’s first reaction?
“My first impression of Natalia was what a beautiful girl,” said Garfein. “I am a man.”
Hell yeah you are brother. What about the first date?
…The pair exchanged phone numbers and agreed to go to dinner the following week.
“When I got home that night I said, ‘God, I can’t believe you sent me an 82-year-old man to fall in love with. I’m only 36,’ ” said Repolovsky, a technical writer for a software firm.
…Five days later the pair met at Frankie & Johnnie’s Steakhouse in Midtown for a dinner of filet mignon and calf’s liver.
“In the taxi ride home after our first date, I talked about very personal, intimate things,” remembered Garfein. “I immediately thought ‘This is a person who gets me.’ I just felt a closeness that I’ve never felt in my life. I felt a connection. I felt at home.”
And it didn’t stop there.
“We kissed,” Garfein added. “I would call it an explosion.” [NY POST]
What a gangster. 89 years young still slinging game like that.
An inspiration to us all.
