Kyrie Irving's First Appearance In Boston Is Right Before Thanksgiving As Long As He Doesn't Bitch Out

Just when I found myself bummed that we weren’t getting BOS/BKN on Christmas as Kyrie’s first appearance back in Boston, it didn’t take long for the internet to drop that bomb of when Kyrie will officially make his return to the Garden

This is funny for a few reasons, mostly because how could we all forget what Kyrie had to say the last time the Celts played around Thanksgiving

and now he’s being forced to “play” on the worst travel day of the year. I find that pretty funny but I put play in quotes because let’s be honest, there is a strong chance that Kyrie bitches out and doesn’t play in that game. I now need to see the full schedule release because it would not surprise me in the slightest if that 11/27 game is on the second night of a back to back so Kyrie has an excuse to sit for “maintenance”. This isn’t just me being salty either, he has a history of stuff like this. The only game he played against the Cavs was that opening night when he threw the lob that shattered Gordon Hayward’s ankle. Never played them again whether it was home or away. I also found it interesting that he only played one game against the Nets last season, you know the team he eventually left the Celtics for. I don’t think it would surprise anyone if he found a way to sit this one out, hell maybe not even travel with BKN you never know. He already has his problems getting cooked by Kemba Walker (see multiple times last season), so I’m not ruling out him not wanting to go through that in his first time back.

The question now becomes, what do the Celtics do. Do they give him some sort tribute video? They’ve become sort of liberal with who gets one these days and maybe they want to show the rest of the league that they are the bigger person despite what happened. I say fuck that, get petty with it. You want to give him a tribute video? Make it some sort of mashup with this

and his BKN introductory press conference. Throw in some clips of him committing last October. This man played a pretty significant role in the disaster that was the 2018-19 season and it’s the perfect opportunity for the Celts to clap back. The fans are going to boo this man like never before, and in my opinion it would be the perfect troll job.
