Sarah Michelle Gellar Knocked This IG Post For Robin Williams' Birthday Out Of The Park

If this doesn’t hit you right in the heart then you’re either KFC or don’t have a soul at all.  By all accounts from those who knew him, Robin Williams was one of the true good guys.  Though it was both a blessing and a curse, it seemed that he always put others before him until his death.  Here are a few quick stories about him via www.google.com

1. Steven Spielberg was so distraught over how gut-wrenching Shindler’s List was that Robin Williams would often call him up to crack a few jokes in hope of cheering him up

2. He would travel to Iraq and Afghanistan with regularity to do standup for American Troops

3. He traveled on his own dime to see a young fan dying of cancer.  Kept the entire thing secret so people wouldn’t think it was a publicity stunt

I was out in Boston a few weeks back to see the Sox vs. Sawx at Fenway and took a stroll down to the pond to see the bench where one of the very best scenes in film history took place:

I almost want to believe that RW wasn’t really acting here.  That he was actually so immersed in his character that he was actually grilling some “cocky, scared shitless kid” straight.  Just seemed like that was the kinda guy he was.
