Alvin Gentry Had A Fantastic Troll Of Anthony Davis Over The Weekend

Listen, you’re feeling good right now if you’re Alvin Gentry. You went through absolute hell last season when your franchise player threw a temper tantrum and let his new agent and LeBron mess up your whole team. The team stunk and that locker room had to be as toxic as it gets. But then the NBA gifted you Zion for all your troubles, Gentry got his option for 2020-21 picked up by the team, and they pulled off what is being considered the largest return for a star player in NBA history. So it’s only natural that Gentry take some shots at his former player, you all remember what this is referencing

In life, sometimes you have to find the humor in a really shitty situation, so credit to Gentry for doing that while this AD ordeal. Granted it’s a whole lot easier when you get Zion for at least 8 more years and your franchise isn’t completely dismantled after being forced to get rid of a generational talent. I don’t think it’s a stretch to say the Pelicans are in a great spot moving forward all things considered, and now that the dust has settled I am all for the pettiness. Now we get to hear how Alvin Gentry really felt and I can’t wait. Something tells me this won’t be the last time we hear some trolling coming from Gentry, and hey maybe he has some inside info that the Pelicans are going to do everything they can to help bone the Lakers with this whole timing issue.

Either way, it sure doesn’t seem like Alvin Gentry is losing any sleep over not having Anthony Davis on his roster, and I say let the trolling begin.
