Listen Jay Williams isn’t completely wrong. Try your hardest to find a lie in everything he just said in that clip and you’re going to have a tough time. Everyone knows the touch of a Kardashian is the kiss of death to an NBA player’s basketball career. Their hit list is well documented and probably played a huge factor in Ben Simmons ditching the hottest of the bunch because he’s tired of not being able to shoot and get out of the second round. I feel like that advice Jay got should officially be part of the NBA Rookie Symposium or something. You learn about what it takes to transition into the league, get some financial advice on how to handle your money, and some life advice that whatever you do, do not stick your dick in a Kardashian.

Here’s the only problem I can see with this comparison though. While the Lakers do fit the mold in terms of the drama aspect of that family, they’re no where near as successful. Sure back in the day when they were winning titles, but have you seen this team recently? Losers, big time losers and if there’s one thing we know it’s that the Kardashians don’t lose, ever. Is it a coincidence that they don’t mess with any current Lakers player? They can’t risk having that losers stench get close to their empire. Who knows maybe it was Kendall that broke it off with Simmons because she realized that franchise isn’t ever getting over the hump. Every single thing that family touches turns to gold, and whereas every single thing that the Purple & Gold touch seems to turn into trash.

I’d also be a little scared if I was Jay Williams here. You know who this soundbite is going to make its way to? Kris Jenner. If you think that woman is going to let something like this slide well you haven’t been paying attention. I would not be shocked if we see some dirt about Williams come out in the media over the next few days, because if there’s one thing we know it’s that if you badmouth the Kardashian brand you’re basically a dead man walking.
