Former Carolina Hurricanes Player Hates The Shit Out Of Bruins Coach Bruce Cassidy

Bates Battaglia is NOT a fan of Boston Bruins Head Coach Bruce Cassidy, he joined us on Spittin’ Chiclets this week to discuss his hate for his former coach. The two were together for one year in Washington and Battaglia did not hold when we asked about him.

“Oh yeah, piece of shit, tip to tail. Never liked that guy. I don’t know how he is still a coach. It boggles my mind. I honestly didn’t even know he was still coaching. I randomly saw a highlight – as you can tell I don’t follow the NHL a whole lot, I was some but I’m not a die hard. But I saw him on the screen and I couldn’t believe it. It just shows how good Boston is.”

The 02-03 Washington Capitals was Cassidy’s first coaching gig and it didn’t last long, as he was fired less than 30 games into the 03-04 season. Battaglia was on the Caps for those 25 games and thought Cassidy was “unprepared” and “unorganized” during his first stint as a coach.

Cassidy has clearly changed his ways. There really haven’t been many coaches better than Bruce Cassidy since he took over as the Bruins new bench boss. The B’s have gone 117-52-22, which is the second-best in the NHL since Cassidy took over in Feb. 2017, along with a 19-16 postseason record. So I’ve got to imagine Cassidy couldn’t give two fucks what Bates has to say. Pretty interested stuff though.
