Bad News: Ben Zobrist Is Divorcing His Smokeshow Wife. Good News: We Can Burn His Walk Up Song.
Sun Times – Former World Series MVP Ben Zobrist of the Cubs, who has been on personal leave from the team since last week, filed for divorce Monday in Cook County circuit court, according to court records.
His wife, Julianna, also separately filed Monday with the court.
The Cubs have not disclosed the reason for Zobrist’s leave from the team, which began May 8, and team officials on Tuesday said his timeline remains indefinite.
Julianna Zobrist deleted her twitter account in recent week. She had scrubbed her Instagram account of images of her husband earlier this year.
This has been swirling around for a while so part of me shouldn’t be too surprised, but at the same time it’s impossible *not* to be shocked by the news. Ben & Julianna are well known to be hardcore practicing Christians and naturally you don’t associate that with divorce because it’s literally against the rules. Oh well. Sucks for Ben & Julianna, and especially their kids.
