FOX Cancels "Empire" Due To Ratings Plummet Following Jussie Smollet Case

Empire will officially come to an end at Fox next year with its sixth season, the network announced Monday. The music drama has been battling dropping ratings—as well as scandal, thanks to the ire surrounding embattled (former?) star Jussie Smollett. During a conference call with reporters Monday morning, Fox execs stumbled to avoid definitively answering questions regarding Smollett. The actor’s option to reappear on the series remains open, according to Fox Entertainment C.E.O. Charlie Collier—but “no plans” have been made for his return.

I’d ask how Jussie Smollet sleeps at night, but apparently we already know the answer to that as he was recently spotted chillin’ in Hawaii:

What a fucking asshole.  Not only is what he did completely abhorrent, but he seemingly doesn’t even give a fuck that he tried to *literally* divide an entire country on a macro level, and is now 100% to blame for people losing jobs on a micro level.  What a piece of a fucking shit.

We’ve all said it before, but his stunt has done more to improve political relations in this country than anyone in the last few years.  Donald Trump, Jr. and Rahm Emmanuel, two polar opposites on the political spectrum, were in complete and total agreement on what a piece of shit Smollet is and how shady this whole situation was.  It’s bananaland:

Now I hate him for other reasons, namely that he sullied Chicago’s name.  He’s just so goddamn lucky that he has Kim Foxx acting almost as shady (or shadier) than he did and is taking all of the heat for him.

Nevertheless, the sooner this douche bag gets out of the news, the better
