Lil Nas X performed for the first time ever last night at Stagecoach with Diplo and Billy Ray Cyrus.
It’s so wild how much social media has changed the game where Lil Nas X can have the number 1 song in the country, have a following of over 1.2 Million on Instagram and almost 500K on twitter but still have never performed on stage in front of a crowd. What a world. Anyways as I was saying Lil Nas X popped his performance cherry last night while dropping a new Remix of ‘Old Town Road’ with Diplo and I for one am most certainly fucking with it (and the new cover art).
It sounds a little weird live with Billy Ray and Lil Nas X trying to actually perform with no lyrics in the background over Diplo’s version with all the new sounds and being much faster paced, but listening to the actual version on iTunes I was a BIG fan (no pun intended). I’m not and never have been the biggest EDM guy but I love the energy and sound pattern Diplo throws on the track. Just a great vibe. I can’t wait to Lil Nas X drops an album of just Old Town Road remixes, it’s gonna be so fucking awesome. There’s apparently a Young Thug Old Town Road Remix on the way too.
Feed me all of the Old Town Road Remixes. By the end of the summer I’ll be able to throw a Lil Nas X party and have every Old Town Road remix playing on a loop in order of their release dates. I can picture it now. It will be in a valley with a bunch of different color horses running around and everyone would wear Gucci cowboy hats while the losers and haters watch on their porches from a significant distance. It’s gonna be the party of the year.
