Congratulations To The Great People Of Ontario Who, In 2019, Will Now Be Allowed To Legally Tailgate Sports Games
Toronto Sun – Outside sporting venues in Ontario, you will no longer have to worry about being tossed in the clink for having a drink.
The Ontario government is about to make it legal for teams to allow U.S.-style tailgating outside stadiums and arenas. Fans will be able to bring their own booze to games and sit beside their parked vehicle and drink and BBQ their own food — just like they do at professional and college games in the U.S.
“This isn’t all of a sudden going to be the wild west,” an Ontario government source told The Toronto Sun…
…The amendment (to Ontario regulation 389/91) legalizing tailgating will come down when the Ontario government releases its budget on Thursday. The Ontario government is hoping that by allowing tailgating, more fans would want to attend events at stadiums throughout the province which would obviously increase revenues.
If there’s one thing that foreigners like to shit on America about, it’s the fact that sometimes we think that we’re the only nation in the world with freedom. Maybe we don’t think that actually, but we at least act like that sometimes. When the reality of the situation is that at least half the countries in the world are designated as “free” in some capacity of another.
With that being said…I had no idea that Canada was running a communist dictatorship up until this very moment. Because there’s no possible way that you can call Canada a free nation when they couldn’t even legally tailgate outside of sporting events. Are you shitting me? I didn’t realize that Joseph Stalin was running shit up in Canada all this time. I mean what kind of a life is that if you’re not allowed to bring some booze and get shit faced drunk in the parking lot before going into the stadium to watch a game? ESPECIALLY with the way that the Maple Leafs’ organization has been going for the past 5 decades. That’s just cruel and unusual.
You know that one Sentinelese tribe that still hasn’t had any contact with the outside world? Those people who will just straight up kill you right there on the spot if you try to show up to their island because they want nothing to do with modern civilization? Well even they are laughing at Ontario for having tailgating be considered illegal for all this time. Even they probably tie a quick load on outside before watching a few games of whatever sports they’ve ended up inventing.
It’s just crazy to think how any group of people could be this far behind. Just wait until they find out about the internet. Gonna be some pretty wild and crazy times up there in the 6ix, eh? I mean it’s still not going to be the wild west or anything like that. But some pregame food and booze that is brought in by the fans themselves? Woah baby. Watch out! Let’s get crazy.
But in all seriousness, I’m very happy for our brothers and sisters up North that they get to have this happen just in time for the Maple Leafs and Raptors playoffs to start. I just hope they don’t get too carried away out there because I have a feeling that both of those seasons will end in disappointment.
