Of Course LaVar Ball Is Reportedly The Person In Charge Of Finding Lonzo Ball's Next Agent
Yahoo- It seemed as if Lonzo Ball were taking full control of his career by shaking the grip of his father — LaVar Ball — and ridding himself of a business partner who allegedly stole millions from him. That appears to be half true.
The plan was for the Los Angeles Lakers’ second-year guard to become his own man, but LaVar Ball has re-emerged as the shot-caller in orchestrating his son’s next pivotal move, league sources told Yahoo Sports. LaVar Ball has since met with a few NBA agents on his son’s behalf and CAA is viewed as the favorite to gain control of the point guard’s career, sources said. In the process of vetting agent candidates during meetings, LaVar is inquiring if the agencies have the power to pair his three sons — Lonzo, LiAngelo and LaMelo — on the same NBA team, sources said.
Battle mode, Triple B’s baby, WE HERE!!! Remember when everybody was dancing on the Big Baller Brand’s grave when it came out that there was a snake in their midst? Well today is another sad day for all the BBB haters, of which there are many, as Lonzo appears to have decided that his dad is the best guy to make decisions for his professional career moving forward.
I know there are people out there that think Lonzo is a pussy for going back to his dad after that blip on the BBB radar. Imagine thinking you know more about LaVar Ball than his son? His fucking son? The same man that spoke Lonzo onto the Lakers, built an entire professional league so LiAngelo could win a Finals MVP, and created an All-American game to showcase LaMelo? In fact, LaMelo Ball is the most hyped high school player in the country right now in my eyes. Granted, that is likely because I don’t follow college basketball nearly as much as I used and there don’t appear to be any Zion Williamsons that we have followed for a decade from watching countless videos of him dunking over entire high school teams. But the fact remains that Melo is the most talked about high school player in his class, Lonzo still can cash in on a big sneaker deal while all the other players from his draft are locked into contracts, and Gelo already has a championship on his resume. If you aren’t buying every piece of BBB stock, be prepared to feel like the guy that gave back his Apple shares to Steve Jobs back in the day once all three Ball boys are on the podium passing around the Larry O’Brien trophy. LaVar Ball isn’t just a business man. He’s a business, man. And once Lonzo starts balling out like we know he can, LaVar and Lonzo’s next agent will have the power to handle their business, damn.
