Bears WR Anthony Miller: "Chicago Hasn't Seen How I Can Play Yet"

Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller had shoulder surgery in January and the hope is that it solved a recurring problem from his rookie season.
Miller dislocated his left shoulder in September and was able to keep playing after doctors popped it back into place, but the problem would repeat itself several times over the course of the season. Miller was able to catch a team-high seven touchdowns in spite of the issue, but the 2018 second-round pick said there’s a lot more to his game than he was able to show last year.
“Chicago hasn’t seen how I can play yet,” Miller said, via the Chicago Tribune. “Every time I tried to stiff arm, it would come out, or if I ran kind of crazy, it would come out. Really I was playing games with like one arm, making it happen. This year I’ve got two, so watch out.”
So Anthony Miller was solid last year, a fine complement to Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel in the Bears’ starting WR trio. But after watching his highlight tape from Memphis and the Bears trading up to select him in the draft, he left fans wanting just a *little* more last year. Here’s his ridiculous highlight real, dude isn’t a speed burner but his hands, cutting ability, and attention to detail/ precision of his route running was absurd:
His 2018 season once again was okay, to the tune of this stat line:
But it wasn’t until the last game or two when we realized he was playing through not just a bum shoulder, but a shoulder he dislocated THREE TIMES last year:
I played football through my sophomore year of HS so I’m basically an expert on the subject; catching footballs in traffic with a dislocated shoulder fucking blows. But now that he’s had that shoulder surgically repaired, we can fully expect him to tap into the comparisons that projected him to be *maybe* just *maybe* Antonio Brown one day.
Their measurables are extremely similar; both are about 5’10” in cleats, weigh about 185 pounds, run mid 4.4 40 yard dashes, and can cut on a fucking dime. They both also possess extreme confidence in their abilities.
Pair all of that with Robinson and Gabriel and a year 2 Mitch (year 1 doesn’t count), the NFC North is fucked next year. Already amped for this fall
