The World Still Anxiously Awaits For This Bryce Harper Bat Flip To Stop Rotating

A lot of people always talk about where they were when Tony Hawk landed the first ever 900 on a skateboard. Well where were you when Bryce Harper landed a 900 bat flip right in the face of the roughly 5 or 6 Nationals fans who were still in attendance last night after he jacked that 2 run dinger to the 2nd deck in the top of the 8th in his return to Washington DC. Seriously. Look at this shit.

That’s a pretty important ball for Bryce Harper. His first game against his first team and he launches one to the 2nd deck. And I bet it’s still just sitting up there under a seat because there was practically nobody left up there. If you zoom in on that picture, I’m pretty sure that you’ll find just as many Braves fans in the building as Nationals fans. People are still out there acting as if Bryce Harper left DC just because of the money instead of wanting to play for an actual fanbase. A fanbase that completely took over that ballpark last night after the few Nationals fans there had their fun after a couple of early strikeouts. The good news for Bryce I guess is that he still gets to have home games at Nationals Park. Only this time its Citizens Bank Park South.

And now here’s the hilarious thing to watch out for today. Just imagine if the Nationals decide to throw at Bryce Harper today. After their local media was practically begging for fans to show up last night just to boo him. After their pitching staff surrendered 3 RBIs and a 2nd deck dinger to him in his return to Nationals Park. The unwritten rules of baseball are such a cowards way out. Because it’s really pretty simple–if you don’t want to get bat flipped to death, maybe don’t boo a man who gave you 7 years of his life and maybe don’t let him launch a ball into orbit like that. Don’t boo, don’t give up a monster homerun, and you don’t have to worry about that bat flip sending your franchise back to Montreal. Instead, they’ll take the cowards way out and throw at him today. No big deal. The Phillies will just have to be the next wave of the Broad Street Bullies and start chucking some knucks if that happens. Should be a fun afternoon.
