John Calipari Announces On His Radio Show He's OFFICIALLY Signed A Lifetime Contract With UK

So it was reported earlier that this was in the works. I blogged about it earlier but it’s official. This is the biggest news and move that Kentucky could have done. You lock up Cal and knock off those rumors that he’s leaving for UCLA or some other job. It’s a great business move by Cal and a better move by Kentucky.

I asked this before. Who the hell are you getting realistically that’s better than Cal at Kentucky? There’s pretty much no one. People that complain about his just 1 title. Only two coaches won multiple titles since Cal took over for the 2009-10 season. Jay Wright and K. THAT’S NOT BAD. Cal has also been to the most Final Fours since he took over.

We’re still waiting to find out what lifetime contract means and everything after. But, this is awesome. This is what Kentucky needed to do.

There’s no one better at Kentucky than Calipari. It’s more than a regular job. You need someone with the personality to handle #BBN. He does that. So let’s ride Coach Cal. From your lifetime to mine, this contract is 100% worth it. If you don’t want Cal at Kentucky don’t watch and long for the Gillispie days.
