If you missed it last week, Robbie and I took a stab at casting the Fox characters into the MCU since the acquisition was made final. Since it was a fan-vote, I figured it was about time to give you guys the results. Over 150k votes were cast, which is kind of bonkers, giving us the final results along with some of y'alls write in answers which I included into the graphics. To note, I chose the write-in answers to include based both on ones I think would work for the role, and some which I just thought were outright funny. Let's take a look!
Wolverine
I gotta say I love both the idea of Bernthal and Hardy just as much as ATJ in the role. Also, shoutout to the person who either purposely or mistakenly wrote in Hue Jackson (They spelt it "Hugh" so I'm thinking the latter).
Storm
You guys impressed the shit out of me with some of these picks, particularly Emmanuel who would be FANTASTIC as storm.
CyclopsPFT was a laugh out loud funny pick and I have no idea how I didn't see it coming.
Jean Grey
As much as I want to pick either me or Robbie's choice here, you guys may has swayed me with Riley Reid.
RogueThe pick here really depends on what sort of arc your looking for from the character. I think Jones is a perfect adult Rogue but Dyer/Fanning could both kill as the iteration of the character from X1
Nightcrawler
I fucking love the Billy Skars pick here people. He's way better than either of our picks because he captures that creepy German energy perfectly.
Kitty Pryde
Olivia Cooke is far better than Hyland and I'm pissed I didn't think of her considering how much I enjoy her work.
Jubilee
This is another pick where it depends on what age you want the character. Shoutout to whoever picked Olivia Cheng, she fucking ruled in 'Marco Polo'.
IcemanVal Kilmer made me crack up.
Colossus I'm going Johnny Sins 10/10 times here. I'm not counting out Ludwig either, though. Ever see 'Vikings'? Dude is a UNIT.
GambitMcConaughey is an outstanding pick for this role and honesty it's all I can think about now.
Professor XIs it possible to just cast Sins as every single character in the MCU a la 'The Nutty Professor'?
PyroI didn't know who Nate Lang was and I don't think anyone else does either which showed in the voting. I'm actually backing out of my pick, though, in favor of either Dacre Montgomery or Douglas Booth.
ToadI'm sticking to my guns with Galecki. I've never completed an episode of Big Bang Theory but I just think he perfectly resembles a toad.
AngelAnother EXTREMELY strong showing by you guys. I'd love any of your picks in the role.
SabretoothI'm officially withdrawing my selection of Momoa for Johnny Storm and picking him for Sabretooth. No further questions.
Juggernaut Braun Strowman might actually be sneaky the best pick in this whole lineup.
Mystique
Vikander is a legit powerhouse and I could see her actually getting cast in this role whenever that process starts.
MagnetoCranston is just sooooo damn good for this role. Although, if you're going for older I like the idea of Charles Dance in theory.
Col. StrykerI think Robbie nailed it. D'Onofrio is probably second but Shannon is the perfect shady military type.
Johnny StormJake Johnson??? For real???? The goofy loveable loser as the charismatic, macho and swaggering Johnny Storm???? YUCK!
The ThingRon Perlman might actually be the move here, although I'd like to see Rogan in the role. Jamie! Clip that!
Dr. DoomTheroux is a sneaky great value that I could see actually getting the role IRL, but for the castings purposes I still love my king Mark Strong.
