TMZ - Soulja Boy has been arrested … and it sounds like the same old story — he allegedly can’t keep his hands off firearms and ammo.

Soulja went to see his probation officer Friday morning in the San Fernando Valley, and when he showed up he was cuffed and taken to jail.

Here’s what we know. Soulja is currently on probation and the offenses go back 8 years … when he was convicted of weapons violations. In 2016, while he was on probation, cops descended on his home after the rapper threatened people online. During their search, cops found at least one weapon, which was a violation of Soulja’s probation.

A judge extended his probation again, making it clear … NO WEAPONS.

C’mon Soulja! C’mon! You were doing so well. Re-inventing video games (Nintendo Switch but Soulja Boy sells it), making the Soulja Pods (air pods but Soulja Boy sells them), and telling the world you’re better than Drake (facts only). And then you had to throw it all away and get yourself arrested for having guns when a judge specifically said not to?? Not great! When a judge tells you not to have guns, there’s only one thing to do- don’t have guns. That’s it. That’s the beginning and end of it. But Mr. Boy couldn’t keep his hands off the firearms, so now he’s in jail.

I’m conflicted how I should feel. On one hand, Soulja has to follow the rules of the road. No matter how big and tough he is, he has to abide by the law like the rest of us. On the other hand, he’s Soulja MF’ing Boy. Rules don’t apply to him. He doesn’t follow the law, he IS the law. Sure a judge can *suggest* that he gets rid of his guns, but that’s for Soulja to ultimately decide. And I think a judge has to respect Soulja Boy if he ultimately decides he wants guns in his house. Think about all the people who want to take him out. When you’re at the top of the rap game, everyone is coming for you. Just look at XXXTentacion. They always come for the best and Soulja felt the smoke. A judge has to realize that and #FreeSouljaBoy.

Besides, who else is going to discover the biggest rappers on the planet if he’s behind bars?
