You Knew KO Barstool Wouldn't Miss A 50 Year Storm...They Claim Brent Musberger Personally Violated Katherine Webb By Saying She Was Pretty

(UPDATEThis is the dude who says Musburger violated Katherine Webb.  What a shocker.)

NYTimes – “It’s extraordinarily inappropriate to focus on an individual’s looks,” said Sue Carter, a professor of journalism at Michigan State. “In this instance, the appearance of the quarterback’s girlfriend had no bearing on the outcome of the game. It’s a major personal violation, and it’s so retrograde that it’s embarrassing. I think there’s a generational issue, but it’s incumbent on people practicing in these eras to keep up and this is not a norm.” ESPN planned in advance to mention that Webb, an Auburn graduate, is dating McCarron. But when Musburger’s gushing over her went too far, some staffers in the production truck at the stadium “cringed.” The network apologized for Musburger’s comments Tuesday.

“We always try to capture interesting story lines and the relationship between an Auburn grad who is Miss Alabama and the current Alabama quarterback certainly met that test,” the ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said. “However, we apologize that the commentary in this instance went too far and Brent understands that.”

For her part, Webb did not seem to mind what Musburger said. “It was kind of nice,” Webb told The Associated Press on Tuesday. “I didn’t look at it as creepy at all. For a woman to be called beautiful, I don’t see how that’s an issue.”

Timothy Burke, an editor at the Web site Deadspin, wrote a story on Musburger’s comments Monday night and included the video clip from the broadcast. Deadspin has been criticized for publishing content that others have found offensive or too sexually explicit, but Burke said he thought Musburger’s comments went too far.
“For Brent Musburger to find this woman attractive is normal,” Burke said. “For him to assert that every man should, and that every boy should try to be a football hero to get such a gorgeous woman, is where it is really not a good thing for me.”

I absolutely can’t believe I’m still talking about this today. Yeah I know I already blogged the ESPN apology yesterday,  but now we have feminists coming out of the woodwork lambasting Brent Musburger. It’s nothing short of surreal. Seriously what are we even talking about here? Brent Musburger saw a gorgeous woman and said she was gorgeous. Who gives a shit? Miss Alabama certainly doesn’t care. In fact she LOVES the attention. She openly says she took it as a compliment just like any normal fucking chick would. Why do fat pig feminists like Sue Carter always feel the need to defend girls who don’t need defending? We’re talking about Miss Alabama here! Miss Alabama! She knows she’s fucking hot. Saying it out loud is not a crime. It doesn’t set back the women’s movement. Seriously what planet am I on? This is the biggest non controversy since I’ve started the Stool. It’s flat out fake life stuff. KO Barstool sticking their ugly unshaved armpit noses where it doesn’t belong per ususal. Just inventing things to get mad about.

Also as I said yesterday ESPN should be ashamed of themselves for the way they’ve handled this situation. Have a spine one time. All you do is feature one hot girl in the crowd after another during every game you televise, but suddenly Musburger went too far? Give me a fucking break. It’s disgusting how disingenuous that apology was.  ESPN trying to claim they only put Katherine Webb on TV because she went to Auburn and thought that was newsworthy.   How stupid do they think we are?   You put her on because she’s blazing hot.  Just like you put on Collin Klein’s girlfriend the night before and Lauren Tanihill and every hot girlfriend or wife or random chick in the crowd of all time.   You put her on TV because she’s a smoke and sex sells.   Only a coward would pass the buck here.  I wish Brent Musburger would defend himself here and say something like….“ESPN chose to feature Miss Alabama because she’s gorgeous.  Apparently they only wanted people to ogle her at home and for me to ignore the giant pink elephant in the room.  I apologize for nothing”

PS – How about Deadspin joining in with KO Barstool in saying Musberger went too far. Talk about the height of hypocrisy. And that my friends is why you can’t compare Barstool to Barstool Junior. One website is real and has no agenda and the other is bunch of frauds.
