International Women's Day (NSFW obviously)

As Barstool’s official ambassador for international women, I would like to wish a Happy International Women’s Day! to foreign broads everywhere.

Instead of buying you all a gift this year, I am going to offer some advice- Stop sticking your fucking tongues out when you take pictures.

Susan B. Anthony didn’t publish The Revolution, circulate petitions for married women’s property rights, establish a press bureau to provide articles to national press outlets, help form The Working Women’s Associations for the publishing and garment trades, chair the first Woman Suffrage Convention in Washington D.C. (1869), advocate for abolishing slavery, improving workers’ rights, higher education for women, and training standardization and registration for nurses… She didn’t do ALL that just so you could someday do this…

Gertrude Ederle (aka- The Queen of Waves), who also happens to be deaf, was the first woman to swim across the English Channel. And not only did the International Swimming Hall of Famer finish one of the world’s most difficult long-distance swims, but she also set a record doing it in 1911. Fighting through cold temperatures and strong tides that changed direction every six hours for the 22-mile swim.

Gertrude was deaf, not blind… You think (if she were still alive) she would want to show up at a pool and see this?

Harriet Tubman…

Sirimavo Bandaranaike…

Connie Chung…

All of those female pioneers broke through barriers in order to give international women the rights and freedoms they deserve.

So let’s just take a minute on this special day to remember those sacrifices, and vow to “keep it in your mouth” next time your girlfriend wants to take a quick selfie.

Unless of course, you’re eating ice cream…

Because that’s kinda hot.

Enjoy the day, international ladies.

Take a report.
