Flat Earth Friday: The Best of the Internet

Let’s end the week on the high note! Exactly three years ago today, I joined an online community that literally changed my perspective of the world and shaped me into the man I am today. I’m talking, of course, about the “Flat Earth No Trolls” Facebook group. To celebrate my anniversary, I decided to pay a visit to the page to check out what my friends are up to these days (admittedly, it’s been a while).

The very first post I stumbled upon was a young lady who was ostensibly attempting to initiate some intellectual discourse about the Holocaust.

Which spiraled into a shocking number of my fellow Flat Earthers coming out as Holocaust deniers and “Hitler was bad” deniers. Great fun!

That thought-provoking discussion segued into another healthy debate about whether or not nuclear bombs are real:

Which reminded me of the time they debated the existence of volcanoes:

It was refreshing to see that some of my community’s brightest members are also educating our nation’s youth.

And raising our nation’s youth:

And I came to realize that they now insult globe believers by referring to them as derogatory terms like “Globetard” and, ironically, “Ballers.”

But all in all, they were partaking in wholesome, supportive conversations:

One for two.

And lastly, for old time’s sake, I decided to go back to my old ways one last time before bidding adieu to my best buds.

I guess it’s goodbye forever…
