The NBA Rookie Draft Class Did A Reddit AMA And It Went As Well As You'd Want It To Go
You’d think the dunk competition and photo shoot would have been the main events at yesterday’s NBA Rookie Day, but the guys got together and had a Reddit AMA and it was some must-watch entertainment. Each rookie was able to answer 3-5 questions and it went just about as well as you’d expect one of these to go with a group of 18-22 year old kids who just got paid way more than I’ll ever see in my life. After sifting through all the questions and weeding out all of the snoozefest responses Shabazz Napier provided to the party (dude looked like he was trying to put on a PR clinic), here are all the highlights you need to see.
If you’re not following @JoelEmbiid at this point, you just don’t like fun. Plain and simple.
Such a ridiculous answer. Noah Vonleh is now a professional athlete and the only other talent he can muster up is playing video games. Love it.
I’ll be the furthest thing from surprised if Julius Randle starts to refer to himself in 3rd person at some point during his career.
Stauskas comin’ in hot with the whitest answer of the day. I can respect his integrity at least.
Absolutely hilarious. 69 jokes never get old. Never.
Let’s work on getting that foot of yours healed up before we start throwing around 2k ratings. But also, don’t sell yourself short. 95.
Zach LaVine sneaky had himself a day during this AMA. Obviously I’d give anything to trade lives with Trout right now even just for a few hours, but has anyone ever seen him not wearing a baseball uniform? Just wondering.
Hundreds of people asking Joel about badgalriri in this thread. I’m not so sure about the validity of this response but if it’s on the internet, it must be true. Right?
Zach LaVine crushin it again. Gummy worms and a large pie over everything.
The biggest power move of the day. Glenn Robinson just swoopin in and doubling up Jabari’s bench right in his face. Ruthless.
Love how he doesn’t even refute the claim in the slightest. He’s just throwing around those hashtags. nbd but kbd.
