In Shocking Plot Twist "Murder On My Mind" Rapper YNW Melly Charged With Two Murders

SOURCE: Florida rappers YNW Melly (real name: Jamell Demons) and YNW Bortlen (real name: Cortlen Henry) have been arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. The murders of two members of Demons’ own YNW crew took place on October 26 in South Florida.

Miramar Police say Demons, 19, shot and killed aspiring rappers Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams, 21, and Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr., 19. Police also claim that Demons and Henry staged the crime scene to give it the appearance of a drive-by shooting.

This is one of those cases you just don’t see coming. I didn’t know who this guy was before he did a song with Kanye about a couple weeks ago, but it looks like we may not have a lot of time to get to know him much further. Drake took a lot of flak for the ghostwriting scandal a few years back, but I don’t think we’re going to have to worry about that with Melly here. I have to be honest, I believe the shit out of him. Let’s take a look at a selection from his hit song (87 million views) entitled “MURDER ON MY MIND”

Welp folks! That’s what we like to call foreshadowing. I think we can chalk up a W for Millennial rap though. Everyone loves to make the “back in my day rappers actually shot each other” jokes when Rap Beef erupts in 2019 and people fight with memes and social media. Not here! The memes in this case will probably revolve around modern day rappers doing a little too much shooting.

As you can see in the tweet there, it appears that Melly had tried to stage the alleged shooting as random and mourn his friends very publicly. If found guilty, a tweet like this would be pretty ironic…

YIKES!!!

If you like new music, check out the song I wrote about above called “Murder On My Mind” (which is about him murdering people) right here!
