Chinese Kindergarten Brings in a SWAT Team to Entertain Students

My friend used to teach at a kindergarten in Shanghai and she’s still on their mailing list. Last week they sent out a newsletter recapping the recent SWAT demonstration they put on for the children and oh boy, the pictures from it our pretty absurd.

“What is SWAT? What are their mission? We had seen a lot of movies about special force but do the children truly understand their purpose? With the assistance of Jinqiao Police Team, the SWAT Team of Pudong District Special Police Department came to (name of school retracted), bringing children a meaningful exhibition. The children were very excited. Following are some moments captured

Ok Susie, Lets play “Hide a bag of drugs in a suitcase” and then we’ll see if our police doggie can sniff it out!

“Our police doggie is very smart. When we tell him to “shake”, he will shake your hand.”

“And when we tell him to “attack”, he will rip a human to shreds. ”

“Hi my name is Billy and my favorite gun is a sniper rifle!”

“What did you learn at school today Maggie”
“I learned that if you don’t take the safety off a Glock 45, you won’t be able to stop the bad guys”

This picture looks like it’s straight out of that episode of “WHO IS AMERICA” where Sacha Baron Cohen convinces politicians to support arming kindergarten students

All in all though it looks like a pretty fun event. Like a ballet performance, where the ballerinas can kill you.

Really have to give credit to Chinese kindergartens for thinking outside the box. Just a few months ago a different kindergarten went viral for inviting pole dance to perform for the kids.

Which brings us to the question, if you were back in kindergarten, which performance would you prefer? Pole dancers or SWAT. Honestly I think I’d probably go with SWAT. I was playing with fake guns at that age way more than I was playing with girls. Can’t put that pole dance performance in your spank bank if the bank aint even open yet…
