Kris Bryant Confirms Cubs Are Not Signing Bryce Harper
I was salty when Joe Maddon said the same at his charity event on Wednesday night. For some reason though I’m okay hearing it from KB now. Either way this should conclude what’s been an extremely anti-climatic pursuit of Bryce, something Cubs fans have been actively clamoring for since 2016. In hindsight, the Harper/Bryant social media love fest probably did more harm than good, and now we’re at risk to be left wondering just how bad Harper wanted to be a Cub. Even more so if this turns out to be a down year lol
HOWEVA and for the 10,000th time on this blog I’m going to drop some very basic knowledge that should help you get over your butthurt: Theo’s in charge. 90+ wins 11 times since 2004. Balls the size of your head. Leader of the free world. Sex icon and MLB power broker. Only one guy gets to drive the bus and it’s him. If you think the Cubs blew it here and you want to cry, get your own fucking bus. We’re on to Milwaukee.
