Joe Harris Should Be Chosen For The Three Point Contest Solely Because Of This Campaign Video
Unless you’re a Nets fan, you may not be too familiar with what Joe Harris is doing, or even who the hell Joe Harris even is. The BKN shooting guard is having quite the season from behind the arc, making 2.5 3PM a night at an outrageous 48%. How impressive is that? Well, of all NBA players who have played in at least 27 games (what Harris has), and takes at least 5 3PA (which Harris does), nobody is shooting better from deep. Curry is at 44%, Hield is at 44%, so you can understand why he wants to participate in this year’s three point competition. He’s one of the best pure shooters in the league, is a career 42% three point shooter and he’s having a career year.
Now just like I did with Luka, I am all in on the teams putting out hype/campaign videos for their players. When they are good, they are really good. Yesterday we looked at what the Mavs did for Luka in terms of an All Star hype video, and now we have the Nets throwing their name into the ring with this pretty great video for Harris. Let’s watch
I mean that’s good stuff. First off, he’s a crazy person for eating his eggs like that. While I respect his ability to hit the pan, that’s just a waste of eggs. Who among us hasn’t tossed fruit into their cart/basket at the grocery store? In fact, I did the exact same thing this morning with some avocados. Sadly, I was not as accurate. It’s videos like this that make me happy to be a fan of the league at this point in time because this is the creativity that makes you stand out. Nobody really knows who Joe Harris is? Time to make a viral video about how he lives and breathes shooting. It was quick, light hearted and to the point. Perfectly executed in my professional internet opinion.
If he does end up getting selected, he’s definitely worth throwing like 10 bucks on or something like that. You know there will probably be a Warrior in the field, Devin Booker will probably try and repeat as champion, but other than that I can’t see how Joe Harris doesn’t get the nod. If anything else, this video should be enough to warrant his selection. Now for those who haven’t watched one second of him play, here you go
