Every Time Ovi Scores He Passes Another Legend In Another All-Time Scoring Category

Ovi had two more goals last night, one off a nice feed from Stanley Cup champion Tom Wilson, and the other an empty netter to seal the deal for the Caps *checks notes* 14th straight win over the Bruins. Wait….*re-checks notes*…yes, that’s correct, 14 straight, home or away, over Boston. But that’s not the point of the blog. The point is Ovi, and how every time he scores now, he seems to be passing another legend, another Hall of Famers, in an all-time scoring category.

How about Mike Bossy and Jaromir Jagr, were they good?

What about Bobby Hull?

A guy named Mario Lemieux, how was his career?

And one more, just for fun.

Ovi very well could move up to 13th in all time scoring this season, 12th if he gets fire hot again.

A 61 goal season at 33 years old playing in the Metro division seems unthinkable, but then again, everything Ovi does is unthinkable and he does it anyway. So I’m not ruling anything out at this point.

So yeah, it was a pretty good night for Ovi and the Caps. Holtby once again dominated the Bruins, stopping 39 of 41 shots, moving to 16-2 lifetime against them.

Tuukka Rask was rightfully given the night off, as he wakes up screaming bloody murder about the thought of facing the Caps:

And Ovi put Chara into a retirement home.

All in all, a pretty good night of hockey.
