SB Nation Fires Oakland A's Baseball Writer For Saying Kyler Murray Is A "Selfish Brat" And She Hopes He Gets "Critically Injured In His NFL Rookie Season"

AA-...Jen Rainwater took it to a whole different level. Rainwater, whose bio listed herself as a writer for SB Nation’s Athletics Nation (and was one of 13 front page writers on their masthead until she was removed Thursday morning; she still has a user profile there, though, and her last post for the site seems to have been a December 11 piece on Blake Treinen), decided to specifically go at Murray with several incendiary tweets tagging him. She’s since deleted the tweets and her whole Twitter account, but the internet doesn’t forget.

I don’t even think Carrabis cares this much about baseball.  Imagine this?  Being so upset a college kid chose to play football professionally instead of baseball professionally and taking to Twitter to tell him you hope he gets critically injured?  She @’ed him!  Just straight up sent a message to him saying he’s a selfish baby brat who should break his leg so bad it has to get amputated.  Because he wanted to play NFL instead of MLB.

Just chill out man, Jesus.

Apparently Miss Rainwater has always been a bit of a loose cannon.

Meanwhile, others posted that Rainwater had previously harassed them. One notable story there came from Jessica Kleinschmidt of NBC Sports Bay Area, who tweeted about past direct message exchanges with Rainwater. Those included Rainwater calling Kleinschmidt “a big haired fat bimbo,” a “dumb girl” and more and going after her about her pets.

MY GOODNESS:

“She’s probably dead now and that’s on you.”  Hairpin trigger on Rainwater over here.  Hope getting fired for wishing catastrophic injury on a 21 year old doesn’t affect the mortgage on that EFFING HOUSE she just bought.
