On this day, seven years ago… Shawn Thornton shocked the world and showed off his hands during a penalty shot against the Winnipeg Jets.

First career penalty shot attempt for Thorty… SHORTHANDED… down by a goal, a real thing of beauty.

He also beat the shit out of one of his good friends and former Bruin Mark Stuart.

The Bruins scored three goals in the third to rally against the Jets 5-3. The goal scorers? Nathan Horton, Tyler Seguin and BENOIT POULIOT. Talk about a blast from the past.
