Sage Rosenfelds Is Mad Online At Barstool Sports For Making Fun Of Lil Wayne's Outfit Last Night

This is the beautiful thing about the internet. You just never know who you are going to end up in the mud with on any given day. I mean I didn’t wake up thinking I’d be trading tweets with one of the alltime NFL punchlines in Sage Rosenfels but here we are. Apparetnly Sage is mad because our social media team made a crack about Lil Wayne’s outfit during the half time show last night. Pretty strange thing to get your panties in a bunch about but maybe Sage took one too many helicopter rides.

Either way since Sage now considers himself a journalist and now likes to comment on things that are above his pay grade and above his limited IQ let me clear something up real quick. The Cherin guys re-invested in Barstool at the 100 million valuation at the end of 2017. That was before we owned Rough N Rowdy. That’s before we had our own channel on Sirius. That’s before we were dominating the podcast charts across the boards. That’s before half our company was named among the top 50 most important people in sports business. So even assuming that Lil Wayne wanted to somehow turn his 120 million net worth into liquid cash to buy us he’d still need to take out a significant loan to make it happen. The bottomline is that Chernin didn’t reinvest at 100 million to sell it for 120 million. That’s Sage math. So in conclusion I’d suggest Sage Rosenfels climbs back into whatever hole he crawled out of or at the very least reads a book.
