Devin Booker Vs Enes Kanter Is The Most Random Yet Heated Rivalry In The NBA

This was a tweet from Enes back in January. Now, the Suns and Knicks played last night and Booker dropped a season-high 38 points in the Suns win. He responded with this:

Now, I know what you’re probably thinking. This is fake since both went to Kentucky or this is just a Twitter war. Oh, but it’s not. They actually don’t enjoy each other’s company. This goes back to 2017 when Booker was ejected from a game for shoving Kanter.

Personally, I love it. I need more rivalries like this, especially when it’s random as hell. Two guys on bad teams that can get buckets just going at each other. Give me a guard vs a big man tweeting at each other and getting ejected. That’s what I want to see.

I also love the ability to hold on to a grudge this long. I mean the tweet was at the very beginning of the year. Oh, even the Suns decided to get into it, which is way better than the Sarver quote they had to tweet out:

As a Knicks fan this is even better. Losing to the Suns helps this time of the year. The fun of the early part of the season is over. The Knicks aren’t competing for a playoff spot, which is just down right shocking. So let’s full on tank. Let’s lose to all the terrible teams while somehow ruining and beating the Celtics and Sixers. That would be the dream.

The two teams play again in March. Let’s hope we get some full on tanking but these two really going at each other. I wouldn’t mind an ejection or two during that game. Let’s spice it up a bit. I know people love to say how soft the NBA is, so more random rivalries like this will continue to help.
