Istanbul Fashion Show Brings Whole New Meaning to Catwalk

“..all eyes were on a stray cat who crashed the runway at a Vakko ESMOD fashion show in Istanbul last week. 

Showing a complete disregard for the models making their way up and down the catwalk, the feline took care of its personal hygiene before pawing at one of them.”

I don’t know if you’ve ever seen America’s Next Top Model, but this seems like something Tyra would pull to teach the models to stay focused on the runway. It’s a little tame (ha) compared to the time she made the models walk down a runway and avoid being hit by a giant pendulum in cycle 14, or the time she made a model walk a dark runway when she was legally blind, but nonetheless would’ve likely caused a classic meltdown after one of the models stepped on the cat.

The models in this fashion show were laser focused, which I can promise you I would not have been in their shoes. The cat is so cute! It just wants to play! It literally paws at the models’ clothing because it thinks the long coats are toys. If it were me, I would’ve picked up the cat on the way down the runway and carried it backstage, if only to take it home, adopt it, and love it forever.

There’s been some hearsay that the designers planted the cat on purpose, but that can’t possibly be true considering no one even looked at the clothing– the cat was too adorably distracting. When it started walking down the runway I thought I was hallucinating. Overall, this is my favorite feel-good story of the week. I know it’s only Tuesday, but there’s no way anyone can top this purrr-fect story.
