Someone made this unbelievable compilation of Tiger Woods’ comeback from injury. I watched the entire thing and was almost in tears. And that’s the second time in three days that Tiger has nearly made me cry. I was with some friends on Sunday, driving back from Cabot Cliffs to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and we agreed to eat the cost of international data roaming charges to stream Tiger’s final hole at the Tour Championship. We placed one phone on the dashboard and watched, together, on the heels of our own incredible golf weekend, as Tiger Woods won. And we all looked out our respective windows to hide the mist that dusted our eyes, threatening to pool and spill down our cheeks, revealing just how un-manly this great man could make us look.

As I watched this, I couldn’t help but draw a parallel between Tiger and KFC. Both guys had their affairs aired out for the world to dissect and condemn; both guys were lionized, torn down by soap box proselytizers espousing their doctrine of purity to garner clicks and plant their morality flags for all to see. And now, at the same moment, both guys have found their swing again, and it’s fucking awesome to watch.
