Will Muschamp Makes The Smartest Coaching Decision Yet This Year By Threatening To Cut His Players
Look at Will Muschamp out here making the best coaching decision of the season. Three of the four teams Kentucky played this season ran their mouth about Benny Snell. Those three teams were Central Michigan, Florida and Mississippi State.
Snell’s stats in those games: 465 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Now, I know I’m the basketball guy around these parts, but that seems to be pretty good! So with South Carolina heading to Kroger Field to play a ranked Kentucky team (still doesn’t get old saying that), Muschamp took to threatening his players if they said anything about Snell. It’s the smartest decision Muschamp has made so far this season.
For Kentucky, they want to give Snell the ball and let him run. They are 6-2 in SEC games under Eddie Gran when the team runs for 200 yards. They want to set up the ground game and then let Terry Wilson throw some deep balls off of play action to Lynn Bowden and Dorian Baker. If you force Kentucky to throw early, you’re in a good spot.
Oh, and Kentucky released this yesterday. If you’re a Cats fan, get ready to meet a wall:
