Good Vibes: 8 Year Old With Bionic Hand Finishes Mission To Toss First Pitch At Every MLB Stadium

On a mission years in the making, 8 year old Hailey Dawson finally finished her goal this past weekend of throwing out a pitch at all thirty MLB stadiums. The reason? From KTNV:

Hailey was born with Poland Syndrome, missing a pectoral muscle and three fingers on her right hand. Her family partnered with students at UNLV to create a new hand using a 3D printer. With physical therapy, she improved her pitches.

Hailey is now raising money for UNLV to create and donate hands similar to her.

“I want people to know, if I can do it, you can do it,” she said.

After completing the journey with the Angels she noted it was, “now just time to relax”. In case you’re stuck in the huge swatch of country covered in gross weather right now, here’s a scroll-through-pick-me-up of her path to thirty in order:

Baltimore Orioles

Washington Nationals

Houston Astros

San Diego Padres

San Francisco Giants

Chicago Cubs
