What a move by that ump! Actually calling it a move doesn’t even do it justice. What a stunt by that ump! Waiting to see if a player touches home plate while standing ON HOME PLATE is as preposterous as it gets. That 2 second snippet is all the porn Cowboy Joe West will need to give his loads a quick hook for the foreseeable future. Only the Mets could take Todd Frazier, a Little League World Series hero WHO ONCE STOOD NEXT TO DEREK JETER AT YANKEE STADIUM and turn him into Public Enemy Number 1 for the boys in blue.
Frazier has had some issues with the umps this year. He disagreed with some calls going against him, like every baseball player does. But then escalated it a bit by talking about it on SNY.
However things seem to have really escalated after Frazier pulled the ol’ okey doke on the umps two weeks ago by picking up a rubber baseball after a dive into the stands and passing it off as a real baseball to get the out.
So now it appears that umpires have declared a holy war on Todd Frazier. Good. Great. WONDERFUL! Pissing off the guys that make the calls on balls and strikes seems like a bad idea. Frazier’s ass is in the jackpot now. Speaking of which, guess who that hardo ump is? That’s right. Mr. Ass Is In The Jackpot himself.

As for the Mets side of things, this nightmare season has been over for months. But I hope the umps keep doing ridiculous moves like this to Frazier the rest of the season because that was the most entertainment the Mets have given me in months. And maybe, just maybe Frazier gives one of them the Pete Rose-Ray Fosse treatment next time they pull a stunt like this.
