I mean, not good. Not gonna act like it is. Our boy James Gallagher went out there, showboating, talking shit, getting nose to nose with Ricky Bandejas before the fight even began, and he got knocked the fuck out by a Sweet Chin Music for it. Bad stuff! But hey, the kid’s twenty-one years old, he just took the very first loss of his 8-fight career, and I think he looked pretty damn good in there before he got rocked. His pressuring was a bit reckless defensively, but effective offensively, his leg kicks were great…I believe this will be a great learning experience for the guy. Get back to SBG, assess what was done right and wrong, probably lean back into what’s worked in the past (grappling) as opposed to relying on a discipline you’re not as skilled in (striking). Sky is still the limit for him, and the show of sportsmanship after the fight really showed his true colors. Nothing but respect.
