Dale Earnhardt Jr. Believes Ghost Saved Him From Fiery Crash
On his podcast The Dale Jr. Download this week, Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed his beliefs on Bigfoot, Sasquatch & spirits, and his ghost story is actually pretty interesting.
Dale Jr. & his cohosts interviewed guest ‘Texas’ Terry Labonte, and they all got into the strange topic after they read a few questions from the listener ‘mailbag’ at 1:01:17:
“Do you believe in Sasquatch?”
“Have you ever had an encounter with the super-natural like ghosts, Bigfoot, etc.?”
From Dale Jr.:
“I don’t believe in Bigfoot. Not that there wasn’t some type of creature like that at some point in the existence of the Earth. But currently today it’s probably unlikely there is a Bigfoot out there… It’s fun to imagine.”
There you have it folks. What you’ve all been wondering.. retired NASCAR champ Dale Earnhardt Jr. does not believe in Bigfoot. But what about ghOoOoosts?
“I do believe in paranoia activity. Ah, ha, paranormal. I do believe in that stuff. I think that our personalities & our souls have so much… we’re so much more than just blood vessels & bones & muscle, ya know? And I feel it’s quote possible that in certain situations when our bodies die, that maybe there’s a spirit capable of continuing on. So haunted places, sure. But I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a spirit or seen a ghost with my own eyes.”
And then as friends tend to do, he gets called out by his co-host. “Don’t you remember? You told Mike Wallace in that interview that you got pulled out of a car…”
“Ok, ok, ok, ok… This is a little dark, a little morbid and heavy, but when – and I don’t care whatever people wanna think they can think, I’m a loony, whatever – when I wrecked in the Corvette in 2004 & it caught fire, somebody pulled me outta that car. And I thought that it was a corner-worker ’cause I felt somebody put their hands under my armpits and pull me out of the car. I didn’t get out. I don’t have any memory of myself climbing out of the car. And I remember sort of moving – in motion – to lean forward and try to climb out of the car. And then something grabbed me under the armpits, pulled me up over the door bars and I fell onto the ground and there’s pictures of me laying on the ground next to the car. I know when I got to the hospital I was like, ‘Who pulled me out of the car? I gotta say thanks to this person.’ Because it was physical hands grabbing me. I felt it.”
Others who were at the hospital vouch for Dale Jr. asking who saved him, & on the podcast he says it with such conviction you know that whatever it was, a concussion or dizziness or whatever, that was his experience & he truly believes he was saved by something. Watching the video, it doesn’t seem that crazy that he thinks that. At 00:27 when the hood camera catches him go up in flames inside the car I got chills. I’d probably believe a ghost got me out, too. (Preferably Patrick Swayze.)
