Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart Has Passed Away
Really unexpected and unfortunate passing today. Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, one half of The Hart Foundation with Bret Hart, a pivotal member of The Hart Family altogether, and the last true student of Hart Dungeon, has died at the age of 63.
As of right now, the cause of death is unknown.
Anvil was an extremely influential worker in the professional industry, due largely in part to the role he played as the “powerhouse” of The Hart Foundation, and it cannot be understated how perfect a blueprint he and Bret drew up for the powerhouse/technician tag team dynamic. Of course, he was also the base for the Hart Attack, one of the most iconic double-team finishers of all time.
He was also a member of “The Ultimate Warriors” team at Survivor Series 1989, who spawned one of the greatest segments in professional wrestling history.
Jim leaves behind his wife, Ellie, and three daughters – Jennifer, Natalie, and Kristen. Natalie is currently carrying on his legacy as a WWE Superstar (Natalya) herself.
Without Neidhart, we never get this classic Barstool video either…
…so even if you’re not a wrestling fan, you’ve got something to thank Anvil for.
Rest in power, big guy.
