Canadiens Forward Max Pacioretty Is Selling His Mansion In Florida And Wow This Place Is Nice
Weird offseason so far for Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty. It seemed inevitable that the Habs leading goal scorer since 2012 was on his way out of town, but as the season rolls closer and closer, Pacioretty hasn’t moved and is still slated to be a Canadien this season. So now what for Pacioretty? Why not sell your $4m mansion in Boca Raton to keep yourself entertained for the summer?
Pacioretty has listed his home in Boca Raton, Florida on the market for around $3.45m. The house comes with a gym, a basketball court, five bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and a pretty insane pool.
Pacioretty is set to get paid next summer. He’s heading into the final year of his 6-year, $27m contract he signed in 2012 that pays him $4.5m annually. And for a guy who scored 220+ goals for the Habs and scored 37 in 2014, 30 in 2015, 35 in 2016 and then only 17 last season due to injury, he’ll be a hot commodity. The guy is a consistent 30 goal scorer so expect him to be looking at a deal that’s giving him at least $6.5m per, and I don’t think it will be Montreal.
This house is absolutely insane though. In a great part of Florida too, which is weird to say because there really aren’t too many places in Florida you can call “great”, but Boca is definitely one of them. Yachts and rich people everywhere. Not half as many weirdos either.
Maybe Pacioretty just has a thing for buying and flipping houses. A little over a year ago he listed his Montreal house on the market for $2m.
So who knows, maybe we just have a real estate savant on our hands up in Montreal or we just have another professional athlete who loves to spend money.
