We're About To Get Driverless Delivery From The Grocery Store And It Needs To Start Today

[Cincinnati.com] - Kroger is set to begin testing driverless grocery delivery this fall, but it’s not saying where yet.

But Nuro, the California-based robotics company that is supplying the technology, has begun advertising for hi-tech help for a “test” in Phoenix, where Kroger operates Fry’s stores. Nuro also declined to confirm the Kroger testing site.

I’m not even exaggerating here. This will be one of the greatest inventions ever. Seriously, it combines all of my least favorite things and then eliminates it all here. This is better than any delivery option, any pick up option, whatever you want to call it. I don’t even care that robots are about to take over the world, this is that good of an invention.

Having to go to the grocery store is the worst thing in the world. I absolutely hate it. I’d rather do just about anything else than go to the grocery store. You have to deal with people not knowing how to walk up and down aisles, you have to try and remember everything to buy which results in forgetting something and then the cashier portion which is always an extremely slow process.

Oh, now I don’t even have to deal with people? Yeah, this is a gold mine. I’ll sacrifice the robots knowing where I live and possibly taking me hostage to avoid the parking lot at the grocery store. For those of us that have to drive to places, the only parking lot that’s worse than a grocery store lot is the mall parking lot.

You’re crazy if you think this is a bad idea. I’ll sit at home, never miss a moment of a game or TV show while I wait for groceries delivered? Yeah, that’s up there for best invention ever.
