Flopping In Soccer Continues To Be A Global Pandemic

There are plenty aspects of soccer that make it an incredible sport to watch. The skill. The passion from the crowd. The fact that these guys and girls act like every single goal they score is the last goal they’ll ever score in their lives. There’s a lot to like about soccer so I’m not just coming in here as a biased footy hater. With that being said… come the fuck on. People have been complaining about flopping in the sport for ages now and it seems like it’s only getting worse as the years go by. It’s at the point now where it takes away from the game so much that it’s damn near unwatchable.
I’m sorry but has this chick ever even heard of a header before? People do this every single game in soccer and you don’t see them immediately drop to the ground like they just got picked off by a sniper. It’s just sad because think about the kids. You have millions of young girls watching this game and this is the example you’re setting? How about you learn to stay on your feet every now and then and maybe we can fix this broken game. But as long as the players at the top continue to pull these types of theatrics, you can’t expect the change to trickle down to the youth level. We see it with Neymar. We see it with this Australian girl right here. It’s just troublesome to say the least.
P.S. – Love the American girl with the classic “ah shit, yeah that’s my bad” hand to the back there. Basically just rifled that girl’s face off but I’m sure that apology is really gonna make her feel better.
