The Cubs are smoking hot right now. Killing teams left and right, winning series and demoralizing opposing fan bases. 10-2 over their last 12 slashing .296/.366/.450 as a team in the process. The body of work is getting sexier by the day and the fact it’s correlating with better weather should be no surprise. But I’m starting to get away from the original point and that is, quite simply, that Ian Happ made some motherfucking PLAYS today to lock up a momentous W against an average Pirates team.
